Yeah, but Prosperity Gospel is nothing new. People have been peddling that one for many, many years- my dad is pretty conservative, but even he scoffs at their ilk. More to the point, people want to believe that if they have the God of the entire universe on their side, then he'll see things THEIR way. Because that's totally how it works, guys.
