From DisabilityScoops: Groups Outraged Over Video Released by Autism Speaks

The video in question is in the post. What do you think? Personally, I found the first half of the video pretty stigmatizing/fear-based and the comments kinda rage inducing (couldn't help but notice it was almost all parents speaking for their children... almost no one with autism).

ETA: Autism Speaks has apparently pulled the video due to controversy and a pretty good deconstruction of the claims the video makes, from a woman with Autism, here.

	This. And I was about to bring Pan's Labyrinth home with me yesterday before I found out del Toro signed the petition too. I still love the movie, but I can't bring myself to look at it or Prisoner of Azkaban for a while without feeling a bit dirty. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	That one hurt too, isn't del Toro father of one or two little girls? I loved Pan's Labyrinth and I was happy when they hired him to direct The Hobbit, now I don't know if I'll be able to watch it :( (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Ugh. I still will see it because my love for Peter Jackson and co. knows no bounds. However, I will be beyond crushed if Peter signs the petition because his children were hobbits, children of Rohan, and children of Gondor! Please, PJ, don't do this to me! (Reply to this)(Parent)
