Summary: Responding to a caller who said, "I had to explain to my young son why these two men were holding hands the other day," Michael Savage stated, "You've got to explain to the children ... why God told people this was wrong." He went on to say, "You have to explain this to them in this time of mental rape that's going on. The children's minds are being raped by the homosexual mafia, that's my position. They're raping our children's minds."


Last year it was Lesbian Gangs with Pink Guns [no really], and now its the Homosexual Mafia.

I quit. I'm officially giving up my membership in "straight". Dip me in chocolate and throw me to the lesbians (and bisexuals, except they don't exist).

You know, it's funny. Before I turned eighteen, I grew up with two gay uncles (one of whom has been in a relationship with the same guy for the past thirty years) and a great-aunt who's possibly a lesbian, had crushes on two guys who turned out to be gay, and hung out with one of my brother's friends who turned out to be gay all the time, and oddly enough, I can't seem to recall any mind raping.

... oh, my God, I think all my gay friends and relatives gave me gay roofies when I was a kid!

I love Eddie's comment, even though it seems like such a futile exercise in bringing the Earth Logic when compared to Savage:

My marriage cannot be destroyed by ANYTHIGN except the actions of myself and my wife. Divorce, Adultery, Domestic Violenece... ALL assault the institution of marriage far more than gay marriage does (assuming it does at all, which is nonsense.) But ALL OF THOSE COMBINED don't have the slightest influence on the strength, quality, nature, etc... of MY marriage unless I AM (or my wife is) THE ONE DOING THEM. These people are such nut-jobs!!!

Personally, I think the biggest threat to my marriage is the spouse Not Listening to What I Said the First Time, Damn It! and not the fact that his aunt has a wife instead of a husband. I maintain that this will continue to be the top threat no matter how many same-sex couples tie the knot/live on our street/do other things that scare the pants off the 'Christian' Wrong.

When I was a kid, I knew a buy named Ben who had three moms. We all just sort of accepted that, hey, Ben has three moms. None of us worried about it at all, because really, kids don't give a shit. Someone has to explain to them that it's "wrong". Seriously, I cared so little that I don't even know *why* he had three moms (it wasn't a poly lesbian arrangement - either his biological mom had divorced his father and gotten together with a woman, and his father remarried, so he had a stepmom, a mom, and a mom's partner, or he'd been raised at first by two of his moms and they'd split etc. I really don't know).

Also, favorite story recently - I live in San Francisco, and my dad was down by City Hall at around five o'clock on Monday, when they were beginning to hand out marriage licenses. It was totally packed, with people getting married, well-wishers, protestors, etc. and there were a couple of girls from Ben & Jerry's dressed as cows and handing out free ice cream. Some guy came up to them and started shouting about how it was all a sin and immoral and blah blah blah, and they just stared at him, dressed as cows, and went "Dude... ice cream?"

Oh, lord. I was just joking with my friend a few days ago about having a "gay mafia" theme in our music videos.

I remember when I was a kid, I was watching something about Elton John and my mom came in my room. She called him a faggot and I asked, "Mom, what's a faggot?"

She answered, "A man who likes other guys."

I said, "Well, what do you call a girl who likes girls?"

She got so pissed off that I was grounded for a week. 8'D I still don't know why. But Elton John didn't rape my mind (unless he did and I didn't know about it...) into being gay!
