California County to Halt All Civil Marriage Ceremonies.

Basically, after being told that she wouldn't be allowed to decide which gay couples could have the right to have a civil ceremony in her county, the county clerk decided to go "Well, fine, then, I just won't marry anybody," under the excuse that it would make the workload too big if her office had to marry all the gays who wanted to get married, as well as the heteros. Everyone can still have marriage licenses, but they have to go out of county to perform the ritual part.

The part that pisses me off is that I just know there has to be a group somewhere who's already pounced on this as proof that the gays are ruining the heteros' right to marriage.
