When a 25-year-old Manhattan graduate student who was assaulted Tuesday night got dressed that morning, she probably didn’t anticipate that her T-shirt would provoke four teens into shoving her, pulling out her earphones and spitting in her face.
Then again, with a shirt sporting the slogan, “Obama is my slave,” it may have been wise to consider the possibility.
Now she’s suing the $69 shirt’s designer, Apollo Braun, for “all he’s got,” the designer claims. The designer says he doesn't like Obama "because he's a Muslim," and that he's moved shirts that say things like, "Jews against Obama," "Obama=Hitler" and "Who Killed Obama?" I can't decide what fails most: that someone designed this shirt, that someone bought it (for $69!), or that the person who bought it is now trying to sue the designer because, surprise, surprise, it got a poor reception on the streets of New York. ETA: No, I'm not condoning the attack upon the woman, no matter how offensively racist her shirt was. Questioning her judgment, yeah, but I'm not endorsing the teens who attacked her. Physical violence is also for the fail. Just FYI. | | 4:19p |
*cue high-speed horse-trailer chase* Capone still free from his 'lover'! Something Awful's thread on him.2005 Thread about "Fausty" on Beast Forum. Relatively WS pictures, but be aware when clicking, this is a bestiality forum. Just follow the links folks, hopefully he'll stay out of Mr. Horsefucker's hands forever!
And from here.
VANCOUVER — This could have been his year at the Summer Olympics in Beijing.
Capone 1, a sleek Holsteiner stallion with an increasingly impressive record in international competitions, has been a horse to watch on the show-jumping circuit for the past few years.
But the 12-year old, estimated by a promoter to be worth as much as $5-million, didn't even make it to the U.S. selection trials this spring because of a caustic dispute over his ownership.
Capone 1 currently lives on a farm outside Chilliwack, B.C., biding his time while a Canadian woman who managed his career in recent years and a U.S. horse trainer who was jailed for his role in a major international drug ring go to court to resolve who owns him.
[...]
He moved Capone 1 to B.C. in 2003 and met Ms. Super around that time at the barn in Maple Ridge where the horse was kept. Ms. Super was a dressage rider. He became romantically involved with her and she started going to horse shows with him. Mr. Spink moved Capone 1 to Ms. Super's farm outside Chilliwack while he served time in a U.S. jail in 2005 and 2006. Ms. Super managed Capone 1's career in those years and the stallion began turning heads at the competitions.
Mr. Spink had been arrested on Feb. 28, 2005 in Munroe, Wash., as a result of an international two-year police investigation called Operation Frozen Timber. Media reports stated that police seized more than 3,000 kilograms of marijuana, 360 kilograms of cocaine, three aircraft and $1.5-million (U.S.) in cash. Authorities were reported to have made 50 arrests, including two prominent Seattle lawyers who were convicted of money-laundering.
Mr. Spink was arrested after he was pulled over by police, ostensibly for driving over the speed limit and with an obscured licence plate. Police found five suitcases in his car filled with bricks of white powdery cocaine estimated to be worth $34-million.

On June 19, Ms. Munro and Ms. Super wound up at the RCMP detachment in Chilliwack after two horse trailers, one containing Capone 1, chased one another down country roads for an hour or two. Police told them to resolve their differences in court.
I think this story is almost ready for Hollywood. Edit for HTMLFAIL *headdesk* |
