Recently I created an LGBT-friendly guild on World of Warcraft. In order to recruit, I posted on the forums, which...actually didn't go as badly as I was expecting. No openly homophobic rants, at least. There are a few gems, such as:

It always irks me when social minorities identify themselves by their labels.

I don't walk around identifying myself as a "white hetero male".

And:

I notice there's no S in the little acronym to be inclusive of straight folks, whether you "allow" them or not. And by the very virtue of the fact that straight folks are "allowed" and not automatically assumed to have a place... that's discrimination in and of itself.

But things get really interesting on the second page, when Bibsy comes in to tell us to get over ourselves.

I'm a High Functioning Autistic with Asperger's Syndrome, but you don't see me starting to cry whenever I hear someone using the term 'Retard/Retarded' or 'Aspie'. I have no problem with the guild at hand or the LGBT Community but I'm just tired of hearing stuff like this played over and over.

This leads to some nice fail in which Spookty, who may also be Bibsy, informs us that:

Actually, autistic people have it worse off, because they're mocked mistreated their ENTIRE lives by other children who can clearly see that they're different. At least if you're gay, most of the time you don't know it right away, and it isn't as obvious.

And then later:

Well, your sexual orientation shouldn't be so important to you that you HAVE to tell people. I'm not saying that you should hide it, but the only time I tell people is when they ask. And if they ask, they have no right to be shocked by it, because THEY asked. I'm sure you wouldn't be harassed so frequently if you didn't shout it from the mountain tops, so to speak. If I don't want to be trolled for something, I don't TELL people about it. It's as easy as that.

We are interrupted by the completely random post by Abysmalyxia, who tells us:

You know the sheer number of black on white crime per year? It's staggering. It's absolutely astronomical.

You want to tell me with a straight face that those millions of black on white crimes committed each year (which dwarf white on black crime) aren't in the least bit racially motivated?
