	Actually they might not have been. You can find a number of shows on the internet on legit websites. I don't know if they are doing it now, but there for a while you could watch some shows like Venture Brothers days before they aired right on the network's website. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Head-hunting for teh p0rnz, probably. When my sister was in the Marines she would get assigned to go through computers and email to do just that. Her favorite busts were the ones where the guy was sending home videos of himself whacking off to his gf and/or wife back home. Not only did the guys get in trouble, she got to watch them being publicly humiliated as well!

Don't think she ever found any CP, though.

Also, according to her, the Marines were basically run on pirated software for many years. Right when she left Iraq in 2005 they were switching her job (computers something, not sure what exactly but it had to do with computer and network maintenance) over from military to civilian, supposedly to head off lawsuits by the software manufacturers.

A) it's still porn, and you are not allowed to download/upload porn while you are in the military. And b) it was being sent over the crap network they have in Iraq. (my sister was more pissed off over the bandwidth involved) I'm pretty sure if he had sent it over as a CD they would have been find, but since it was email...

And it wasn't a private account, either. Kinda like making a sexy video on your work computer and then mailed home with your work email. Even if he had a private account and private PC the network is still military in Iraq (which is where she did most of her headhunting) and you still can't use it that way.

tldr, you give up a lot of rights and privacy in the military, which is why I never joined.

I'm not so sure. My experience with being married to a Journalist is that they try to be as graphic as they think they can get away with. And when they can't get away with it actually stating the act (like saying that the man died because he was being fucked by a full sized horse), they give ALL the details so that people can put two and two together. If they can mention glory holes (and why they are used) they aren't going to hedge about a simple groping.
