Seriously, I think some people compensate for their more shameful urges by screaming about how bad they are. I think of my Poli-sci professor who, while playing the I'm-a-feminist card, managed to make his class all about how unimpowered women are. Sure he was poo-pooing on the patriarchy, but he pretty much managed to give the sense that the only control women had over their lives was that which mean ole men had grudgingly given them. Wow, that made me feel really strong.

While those behaviors might be appropriate if I was enlisting in a battle for my place in the hierarchy of our dominator culture, they are neither relevant or productive in this context.

I'm waiting for claims of "it was just a social experiment!", possibly with a side order of "I was just trying to show how deeply entrenched 'rape culture' is in our society!"

It could also be that since he listens to Andrea 'all penetration is rape' Dworkin, this is the closest he can get to getting laid.
