If you're a boxing champion, you can beat up your girlfriend.
Dereck Chisora is a heavyweight boxer, challenging for the world title next month. His (now ex) girlfriend... isn't.

That didn't stop him from beating her up when he found a text message from another man on her phone.

And, despite a history of offences including assaulting a police officer and possession of an offensive weapon, all he got was a 12-week suspended sentence.

Oh, because his promoter gave him a character reference. The promoter who's no doubt making big money from the title fight next month. Well, that's not a conflict of interest!

You know, I wish I could say this was surprising, but given the number of athletes that think the women in their lives are punching bags, I can't be.

Lesson learned, girls: If your abusive man is a Lucrative-Sport Hee-Row, you're screwed.

But he's an ATHLETE and she's just a dumb ho-surely she was asking for it! Besides, what're a few punches to a piece of ass in the light of a potential championship? She doesn't have a dick, so it's not like she's an actual human being or anything.
...I just about threw up typing that. It's like the gender-related version of Poe's Law: There is no way you can make up an attitude or viewpoint that's so misogynistic that there is not a well-documented instance of it playing out in real life. This just makes me so sick.
