Andy, formerly Victoria Bitter, has been involved in a shooting. Three people are dead, but not Andy, though he did get shot. Turimel has theories. IDEK. Thought this belonged here and not F_W.

Uh, yes. Definitely unfunny.

And I have to say, not cool of turimel to try to make this Andy's fault. I don't give a damn whether or not there was some sort of scheme he was masterminding. A murder-suicide is always the fault of the person who pulled the trigger (and/or their possible mental illness).

There's a locked post about the whole thing on [info]fake_lj_deaths (open membership) with more information. Last I saw, the vile speculation there was about whether the woman who was killed was actually everything that thanfiction says she was, which left me with a pretty bad taste in my mouth. (Even if he was lying about her, so what? She's been murdered. It's not like an overly glorified account of her life is hurting her or anyone else.)

On the other hand, his requests for money to go to NZ while The Hobbit just HAPPENS to be filming seems deeply suspicious.

Wow, Turimel is pretty disgusting.

Both Turimel and the father manage to deflect blame away from poor, innocent Jason ie the man who actually pulled the trigger. And for what? Okay, I get the father, it's easier to believe That Bitch made him Do It than it is to admit his son was and obsessed piece of shit. (seriously, a fucking house is not worth taking life for, your own or someone else's. you get in a dispute like that hire a lawyer and let them handle it. losing a house and a wife isn't the end of the world). Turimel just wants to gloat because she doesn't like VB and just wants to drag his name through the mud.

I don't like VB, never did, but at the very worst he was a scammer. And not a very good one. He apparently hasn't tried scamming anyone else in fandom since the LotR days either. As far as I can tell he's never threatened violence to anyone, and definitely never killed anyone. And he saw his roommate get murdered, had someone try to kill him, and probably saw the suicide as well. That's got to be horribly traumatic, and I feel sorry for him.

It's a real sad situation, and seeing Turimel gloat about it just makes me sick.

Regardless of anything Blake's done, this ain't the time nor place. Personally, I'm just sorry for the victims' families. And the fact the woman was called a prostitute in print. Again. Time. Place. She's capitalizing on the death of three people to get on her soapbox about Andrew Blake, and trying to make it sound like the family of the girl ASKED her to do this, ONE DAY after they buried their daughter.
