This is awesome- and the inclusion of Mexican-Americans and PWD makes it a million times awesomer.
“We can’t tell our youth that it’s OK to be yourself and expect them to treat their peers with dignity and respect when we deliberately deny them accurate information about the historical contributions of Americans who happened to be LGBT,” Leno said.
I am SO glad that this sort of attitude (i.e. being cognizant of the fact that you can't spout about EQUALITY and FREEDOM while denying a marginalized group that same equality and freedom) seems to be increasingly-prevalent.
