Because Amazon.com is such reputable dealer for high quality Medical Equipment that can stand up to years of usage....

Typing in CPAP in Google shows MANY places to buy a CPAP and I didn't see Amazon among them except for a side link...near the bottom.

THAT site was in the top ten links that popped when I put in 'CPAP Machine' into Google heck you can sort by pretty much any feature you wish depending on your medical needs. There's your proof, CPAP's can be THAT expensive.

And none of those include Masks, tubing and other accessories, perhaps I did make a blanket statement, but the underlying point I was trying to make is that a CPAP is an expensive piece of equipment to buy, to use and maintain, and for the family or the state (its not clear which party provided the equipment, most notes lean to the state footing the bill) shows an investment and interest in this child's health and well being and not somthing to be dismissed lightly.
