Teacher/Bully
Teacher/Bully

Autustic child is bullied in school by teachers and aids; father discovers the truth by wiring his son and recording the school day.

The site's safe and clean as far as I can tell, just one single page with text and audio clips.

Don't listen to the audio clips if you trigger easy.

I ask the same question. Why the hell wasn't that teacher fired?? Ugh.

Attacking acceptable targets is usually defended by the administration. This is true whether the target is "acceptable" due to autism, other personal variations or idiosyncrasy, divergence from the politically- or religiously-dictated standards of "acceptable existence" supported by a plurality of administrators, etc. There will only be accountability when there's public objection to bad behavior.

And bonus points if the target's testimony, owing to perceived mental incompetence, will automatically be dismissed as unreliable.

If you dismiss enough people as unreliable, eventually you have a big enough sample pool to prove that anyone who has a complaint is, by definition, unreliable. Even if they wire their kid and play back the audio for you.

And that's part of the reason that the being-wrongly-committed-to-a-mental-institution scenario is such a popular horror and mystery movie trope: the (presumably sane) protagonist's claims of abuse will be dismissed as ipso facto crazy.

(And it would be nice if that sort of narrative could more often be arsed to show some concern for the actual mental patients presumably subject to the same abuse.)

The same reasons pedophile priests were moved on to new parishes, right down to the overidentification with the institution. After all, which is more important: a bunch of nameless, faceless, ever-changing congregants/students/hospital patients/civilians, or an official who's just like you, working hard to uphold the authority of the institution?

...I would so homeschool if I had children. And possibly move to the wilds of Oregon and secede from the human race.

Ugh, that just makes me ill. I hope those abusive assholes all get mauled by wild hamsters.

You might want to consider linking the petition. Surely signing it does not count as trolling the wank.

This makes me physically ill, and makes me even more determined to homeschool.

The situation is disgusting, but that dad? Is awesome. He's a one-man demonstration of How It's Done.

"This final clip happened right at the end of the day. They discussed not wanting to become pregnant and how their husbands want them to be sterilized, while they want their husbands to be sterilized."

After he nailed down such a strong case, he finished with that?

If I didn't mind risking several hours of time-wasting, I'd link to the TVTropes page for "Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking."

One one hand, I see your point... but on the other hand, how is that not an incredibly appropriate thing for a teacher to discuss in the classroom? In any classroom? I'd be pretty freaked out if a high school student in a regular class had teachers discussing that kind of thing openly in front of them, much less in this kind of situation.

Although, in light of their unforgettable approach to child care, I enthusiastically second the desire for those teachers to avoid reproducing.
