That's it! David Miscavige is a Bond villian. I get it now.

OPERATION PLANETARY CALM--WTMF?

David Miscavige is the head of Scientology, and he has a dastardly plot to destroy psychiatry and "audit the planet." No, seriously.

http://glosslip.com/2008/02/07/scientology-leader-david-miscavige-explains-cos-plans-to-obliterate-pyschiatry/

Highlights of this video:

*The little grenade animation. Yea, bomb the hell out of those psychs.
*The Way to Happiness replacing the Gideon Bible in a hotel. LOL.
*Kimora Lee Simmons' face  and clothing line bringing Scientology to "12-18 year-old" African Americans.
*Scientology for the "Third World."

O_o    What. The. Fuck.   I hope he enjoyed Sunday.

I didn't dare watch it for fear I'd get so pissed off I'd lob my laptop through the balcony door. Why can't these people just fuck off and die already?

That is amazing. I don't know how those people can sit there and clap as this man preaches war against psychiatry, society even. He has a very odd delivery of the speech and I don't just mean the Scientology speak. It's like he speaks full speed ahead so everything blurs together. The Scientology speak doesn't help either, it makes him sound like he's speaking Xenuese instead of English.

I'm starting to wonder if we don't need a comm dedicated to laughing at Scientology. They certainly deliver quite consistently these days.

*Scientology for the "Third World."

And spread thanks to the loving care of U.S. corporations, too. I'm all a-tingle with warm fuzzies over that one.

The corporations are denying the connection:

Okay, that just makes it even more hilarious. Loved the bit about the suspicious lack of verbs. But it says something about my view of Scientologists when I'm instantly willing to take the word of mega-corporations over theirs. Admittedly, when I heard the speech, I was perplexed as to how promoting Scientology in Third World countries served corporations' interests.

I do note that the companies are denying that they're associating with Scientology the religion, and not the Scientology affiliates.

It's so unreal.

The first half, it appears that he's speaking English, and then in the second half, it feels like he's pulling numbers out from... planet Earth, maybe, but from I don't know which dimension.

It's the hyperbolic numbers. He's going, like, "TWO BILLION ZILLION!" and people (not us people, them people) are going "w00t!"

Sounds like every other MLM scheme I've seen.

I am SO asking to delete that subscription!

Anti drug coalition?

I'm not being wanky, honest. I was just brought up in a New Agey sort of house, so am not very interested in modern Western medicine. And I suppose saying that could be construed as wanky, too *brain spins*

Aaah, that makes sense.

My parents live in a town with a lot of Scilologists (and they aren't interested in Sci at all, honest, Anon D:) and the 'Tologists used to hand out anti-cocaine booklets.

Narconon is just plain disgusting. I haven't heard their ads lately on the radio stations that air them lately-- maybe they were flooded with calls and e-mails about that. Sheesh, I e-mailed them over a year ago about those and got nada, they probably thought I was a tinhat. Or else they knew and didn't care, it's money after all.

Christiane F. went to a Narconon facility in the '70s and she got off easy.

I was confused when they recommended an L. Ron Hubbard anti-drug book for kids (illegal drugs and drug-abuse, that is), and now it makes perfect sense.

Weird. *starts reading up on Christiane F*
