Woman says anti-abortion nurse removed her IUD without permission, then lectured her.

I don't know about anyone else, but I would've kicked the nurse in the head and then sued the shirt off her back. And then sued the shirt off the back of every other person in the clinic who was aware that this sort of shit had gone down before and *not* done anything about it.

My anger is so angry right now, you have no idea.

It's ridiculously hard to convince doctors to give you an IUD anyway in a lot of situations, and for this dumbshit nurse to do something like that makes me want to punch her in the ovaries.

According to your link, she is indeed suing the nurse, so one out of two...

Dumbshit nurse suggested two hormonal forms of contraception instead of one that might well not have been. Completely aside from the whole "haha, they all say I pull them out cause I don't like them but that's SO NOT TRUE!" crap and the actual removal, I want to slap the crap out of her for that.

Way to pay attention to the health of your PATIENT, idiot.

I'll be pissed about the gross violation as soon as I can get over she took out an IUD and recommended Depo-Provera.

Oh, look, when I pull on this string, something happens!

These holy little butt-polyps need to crawl far back into the place of great darkness where they belong - And very soon. I tire of their great nonsense.

"Defendant Olona stated, 'Everyone in the office always laughs and tells me I pull these out on purpose because I am against them, but it's not true, they accidentally come out when I tug.'

Oh. My. GOD.

How fucking stupid does this woman think people are?!

I hope they do pull her license. That behavior is just plain wrong. And if she's done it in the past? I hope the patient wins this suit. Shit like that just shouldn't happen.

Is there even any reason for her to be tugging on patients IUDs? Or has she been pretending that she has come across a legion of improperly inserted IUDs?

The plaintiff demands damages for battery, constitutional violations and negligence. She is represented by Ryan Villa with the Law Office of Robert Cooper.

Good! Sue the ovaries off her!

(Dumb question how does the IUD stop pregnancy anyway?)

I failed to qualify as a nurse due to suffering a mental breakdown. Hearing about these COMPLETE IDIOTS who somehow succeeded to graduate where I didn't is slowly destroying all my self-esteem and a goodly proportion of my will to live.

Does anyone have an emergency kitten?

Sylvia Olona, the nurse, was nominated for recognition for Women's History Month this year:

Sylvia M. Olona--Sylvia is a dedicated Physician's Assistant who travels throughout New Mexico to provide health care to residents when no physician is available. She provides a much needed service in rural New Mexico.

All moral/ethical outrage aside (and believe me, I'm outraged), there's also the "whoops, I took out your $500 device and I'm not replacing it! Tee-hee!"

Seriously. I'm fortunate enough that I was offered an IUD (although it turns out I can't have one anyways :/) but my doctor said so many people skip out on paying for them that I would actually have to buy it myself and have my insurance reimburse me. So FUCK that nurse right in the eye.
