	Snopes says that there's some question as to whether this video was staged or not. I've seen one comment that the dog being thrown looks like a stuffed toy. I'm hoping that's the case.

Still, one is left with the urge to grab the Marines involved and shake them until their brains fall back in place, yelling, "What were you thinking? WERE you thinking?"

Of course, based on the deaththreats the man's poor family are receiving, I suspect his parents are already doing so.
