We can has something nice now? Not at all funny, but wow, it's nice to see someone doing the right thing: Amidst the grieving, a rare act of sportsmanship Short version: The captain of a high school basketball team lost his mother. Later that day, there was a game. The captain wanted to play, even though he was grieving. As he wasn't on the pre-game roster, though, the coach letting him play was a technical foul, meaning the opposing team got two free throws. So the captain of the opposing team got up to take his shots--and purposely missed both times. Occasionally, you need a little hope for humanity, especially on this comm. These guys make me think all the badness doesn't matter as much, because young people know how to do the right thing. Post a comment in response: |
