More Bad News from the Keystone State
First there were corrupt judges sending kids off to boot camps, and then came an eleven-year-old charged as an adult for murdering his dad's pregnant girlfriend. Now it's a middle-aged man hosting beer bashes in his basement for high-schoolers and supplying stripper poles as well.

Steven Russo, 36, accused of hosting teen drinking parties, encouraging pole dancing

Dear state of mine, WHAT THE HELL?!

ETA: Link fixed, sorry about that.

ETA2: I'm sorry about the 'middle-aged', folks. Didn't mean any offense.

Ever since I was in high school, I've figured every district has this one guy that's in his mid 20's to late 30's that never outgrew high school and spends his weekends hosting/crashing kids' parties, supplying drugs/alcohol and hitting on questionably aged girls while generally acting like a pathetic leech jackass. There's at least one in every town.

There's the guy for that town.

Why, oh why does Pennsylvania keep failing? At this rate, I'm going to have to start pretending I'm from Delaware.

BTW, do you happen to have a link?

I fixed it; sorry about that. The rich text editor always goes wonky for me. :/

I live near Maryland, so I'm considering lying and saying that's where I from, but then I realize that Maryland's not much better. *sighs*

Oh, yikes. Apparently he has a 4-year-old son who was in the house for all this, as well as his 17-year-old son who was involved in the parties.

Those poor kids.

Isn't that home of the most infamous fandom sock-puppeteer?

I thought it had been determined by her IP address... but they may have all been anonymized or something.

She did use a LOT of anonymized IP addresses, so I'm not sure that IP evidence is actually that much use to pin her location. (Why yes, yes I have waded through the entire Bad_Penny report!) Having said that, though, I think that there was some RL meetings and sluthing that did more or less confirm the Delaware location.

I read a lot of it, but I don't even think I got halfway through. I remembered the anonymized IPs, but I thought there had been some that weren't... but, then again, it's been a while.

I'm torn between wanting to go back and finish the report and actually wanting to pass my classes.

See, it strikes me that buying beer for underage kids is a spontaneous act -- but a stripper pole you would have to PLAN in ADVANCE, which makes it feel all the more creepy.

36 is middle-aged? I'm 34!

Okay, now that I've betrayed both my age and my priorities--what the hell is wrong with "men" like that? Does he honestly think this will get him entry into the Cool Club? Why should he care? Shouldn't he have outgrown this eighteen years ago? The kids were being stupid, but they're also kids--teens are not renowned for their judgment and impulse control. The guy, though, was being at best stupid, at worst a lech. If he so much as touched one of those girls, that shit he's currently neck-deep in is going to be waaaaay over his head.

Sorry; I didn't mean to offend with that. I've heard people call themselves middle-aged from 35 through 55, so I just went with that. Would you like me to change it?

Ha, unrelated tangent, but this reminds me of a field trip my father chaperoned when I was in the second grade. I asked our guide how old she was (mid-twenties), so I said, "Oh, you're middle-aged." Dad was 36-37 at the time, and cried out, "She's middle-aged? Then what does that make me!?" So I gave him a bish plz look and said, "DAD. You're old."

Ohhhhhhkaaaaaay. That article is one big ol' wad of creepy. It's like the guy watched too many teen summer movies and thought that was what it was supposed to be like.

I'm also looking askance at the idea of high-schoolers who know what to do with a stripper pole.
