...Is this guy a mod or admin or something? Because he sure as hell seems to think he is. I mean, what the fuck, only stories that meet his specific guidelines should be allowed to stay up? I especially like this:

As of December, 2009, I refuse to review first-time authors' stories due to disputes over quality. Novice members are entitled to a welcoming message with initial pointers for better orientation in the login area menu. This does not apply to reporting possible abuse. I retain the right to exclude the bulk of commentary should a creative work be considered not abiding by the domain's guidelines, ToS or etiquette policy.

Sorry, "novice" members, but Lord Kelvin won't grace your shitfic with a review. What a disappointment that must be! But don't worry, he will report it if it's in conflict with his set of principles and guidelines that outline good writing, as Lord Kelvin is the self-proclaimed authority on what constitutes good writing and what is acceptable in the world of fanfiction.

Dude seriously needs to get off the ego/power trip. I hope his shit tastes as good as he thinks it does.

He's saying that first time authors deserve an orientation to FFN that doesn't discourage them, and that he's not suited to that. Or at least that's how I read it, but I'm biased by my admiration for him.
Also, the "guidelines" he speaks of are the terms you agree to when FFN gives you the right and privelege to post.

He's also not suited to doling out the "reviews" he does. For people who say you like concrit, you sure as hell don't seem to understand how to give or receive it. Poor babies can dish it out, but you can't take it. You're a bunch of hypocrites with spotty grammar and sentence construction and way too much time on your hands. What have you and your clique of cyber bullies contributed to anything other than prose so purple it could qualify as ultraviolet and a bunch of self-aggrandizing, pompous whining about fanfiction? Fall off your high horse and into the shit it just took.

Or at least that's how I read it, but I'm biased by my admiration for him.

lmao, just lmao.

I do my best with my writing, and I expect others to do the same. I try to give them helpful pointers. I'm not a "harsh concritter" anymore. I had my flaming days, and I'm thoroughly ashamed of them. I was unnecessarily cruel.
I'm not even going to bother trying to reply to the rest of that, I'm afraid. Give me examples of our "spotty grammar and sentence construction", particularly mine. I like to have my errors pointed out to me- that way I can improve.
I don't know how individual members react to concrit. I, personally, could use some. The most helpful review I've gotten lately was "Good grammar but a little OOC." I've gone over the fic and was unable to spot the OOCness, and the reviewer was anonymous, preventing me from contacting them. :(

Uh, no. I don't think so. It's called free will, sweety.

An 'orientation'. Oh, lol. xD No, really, you're too much. The fact you're compelled to turn up here and defend yourself is just-...the cherry on the icing on the bun. S'cuse me, my sides hurt. :D

But my apologies, maybe this is my fault for not thinking fanfic on FF.net is SRS BSNS. I'll go and re-evaluate my stance, lest your SWAT team kidnap me. D:

I'm not trying to defend myself, don't care enough about people's opinions of me for that. Seeing a bunch of posts bashing someone I look up to, that's something different.
Although I'm rather horrible at arguments. Ah well, at least I appear to be providing you with some degree of entertainment.
/fail at coherent response

Under eighteen, please get out of here. If you must have a defendomouse send someone older. Go and fight on Fanficrants or something of the like.

The rest of us: carry on!
