Seriously. I went through all those links, and not one person said anything about the mother. What gives?

She's a woman. She doesn't count. I wish I were joking :(

Actually, you check the link to ffrantsanon, someone mentions it there.

I think one of the first deleted reviews mentioned his mother, too. But I didn't cap the first two that I noticed disappear, and I don't know if there were any before that, though I'm willing to bet there were.

Personally, I get uncomfortable when people start talking about Misha's wife, because he's gone to such great lengths to keep her out of fandom and the limelight, and it bothers me when people drag her in. But yes, turning the baby's mother into a dude is rather casually misogynistic.

Damn. If Misha wants so much to keep his wife out of the spotlight, then I doubt he'd be the type to want his baby in the spotlight either. Not to the extent of being put in MPREG fic and having his name mocked.

If it had been some other MPREG baby, then that's different, but one with the same name as the real one and being dedicated to that event...it does have the ring of "I'll celebrate the birth by putting it into an actually meaningful setting! That means one with Misha playing his character, a second Daddy I'd like to pair with him, and no icky women!"
