My point is simple, the problem is with YOU not Bieber. The reason the problem is you and not Bieber is that whatever Bieber said, given his age and upbringings a certain amount of innocence and naivity is to be expected. To bring him up for ridicule at a site such as this shows YOUR lack of empathy and understanding.

Lets not forget something, Bieber's mother was 18 when she had him - many 18 year olds would have chosen to abort. Especially given that his mother is from a low socio-economic background. His mother didn't. Has it occurred to you that his view on abortion might be informed by the fact that he himself might have become an abortion statistic had his mother decided that 18 was too young to have a child? It's all well and good to tell a teenager to "have empathy" but did you actually stop and truly think were that teenager is coming from? Clearly not.

Okay, I think it is clear that you are a fan of his. Any more tidbits from Little Justin's life story you'd like to share?

You are mistaken. I am not fan, never heard him sing and only became aware of him because well... he's kind of hard to escape at the moment. The information I quoted is freely available on wikipedia (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justin_Bieber). I simply took the effort to look it up before running my mouth off. Perhaps you should make a habit of looking-up at least the wikipedia pages of people you are about to ridicule to, I don't know, perhaps get a context to why they might have said what they said and not just automatically pick-up the pitch-fork and falling in with the lynch mob.

Are you serious? Why on earth should I look up Justin Bieber before I "ridicule" him? Life's too short, sorry. Aren't you taking this a bit too seriously? And I'm not calling for Justin Bieber to be lynched, really. Saying "The kid is stupid and said a stupid thing" is not the same as calling for him to be lynched.

Yes, I think you ARE a fan and taking this too seriously.

If life is too short then why are you still posting and again, I am not a fan. I am not sure how I can be a fan when my only contact with Bieber is his appearance on The Daily Show and from what I read on his wikipedia page. I simply find it repulsive to have a minor, public figure or not - he remains a minor, be made a subject of ridicule because he could not contribute sufficiently to an issue that trip-up people twice his age. My objection, in short, is with calling him "stupid" over something like this.

"Again and again"? No, I'm not the only one here arguing with you. And I do it because it is fun. But you are right, life IS too short to think any more about Justin Bieber. I leave that to you.

This is where you proved beyond reasonable doubt that you ARE a Bieber fangirl, because your opinion cannot form outside of extreme devotion - it is unreasonable, clueless, and nonsensical.

The problem is, indeed, with people who think, and spread, that rape is not a big deal. He did. He deserves to get called out on it.

In public. That you call this "lynching" again proves that you're an extremely devoted fangirl, because people who actually use the brain in their heads notice the difference and how absurd it is to equal criticism of a white boy with lynching.

You're big on wikipedia. Look up what lynching actually is. Hint: It's not criticizing a priviledged white boy. It's killing someone in a horrible way.

Amusing but my use of the term lynching just proves I am not American and don't immediately think of blacks being lynched in the streets by mobs of white people (yes I do know the racial history of America and how lynching was used thank you very much).

It might come as a revaluation to you but lynch mobs are't exclusively white people lynching black people. Often its white people lynching white people, black people lynching black people, black people lynching white people. In other words, it is what happens when the majority, violently disagree/dislike someone and choose to take it out by *gasp* lynching them!

Also, where did you get "privileged white boy"? Up until he became famous, which hasn't been that long, Bieber was anything but privileged. Or are you implying that single low-wage earning mother somehow mysteriously kept him in the lap of luxury.

As for him dismissing rape as not a big deal, did you actually bother looking-up his entire quote and not the just portion that initial anon posted? Well here it is,

"Well, I think that's really sad, but everything happens for a reason. I don't know how that would be a reason. I guess I haven't been in that position, so I wouldn't be able to judge that." (http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/justin-bieber-talks-sex-politics-music-and-puberty-in-new-rolling-stone-cover-story-20110216)

I don't know about you but to me it just sounds like a kid trying to articulate concepts he hasn't fully thought through and a much more non-judgemental an answer then people are implying he gave.

NA

Get some fucking perspective. People pointing out that Bieber said moronic shit is not the equivalent of a lynch mob. Fucking fanbrat.

Ooooo, context! That answer's much more sensible when we have the whole thing. Looks like he was trying to duck away from the question by pointing out he wasn't really entitled to make that kind of decision. Which is uh what all the ragey anons above have been telling him to do, so I guess they should be happy?

Shyeah, as if people come to wank_report to be happy, they only come to rage in comments.

This is wank_report, we don't do "stop and think" around here; we just post rapid-fire angry comments.
