Oh boy howdy is this one a doozy. So, [info]ari_o posts a fandom_secrets wank that is found by some (but not all) people to be overly depressing (I withhold judgment). This leads to mass wanking. Let's just get to the highlight reel.

Despair, F_W has gone downhill and lost teh funny! (In all likelihood, spawning Sep's follow-up post and its tag cloud)

Can I just say that I'm sorely disappointed that after seeing the secret in question, none of the wank was about how confusingly worded it was? I had to read through it three times before I realized that "on the ground" wasn't a prepositional phrase describing the location of the previous acts.

Given the drop-off in posts to the spun off fields, I'd suggest closing them and merging the discussion of Twilight and HP wank back into the main comm--particularly the latter. After all, the Harmonians aren't moaning quite like they used to (in fact, they're pretty much gone from HP, and the most batshit seem to have taken up residence in Twilight*), and wasn't the flood of mediocre Harmonian wank the reason it was spun off in the first place?

*Personally, I think this explains a lot.

Twilight wank isn't banished, though.

Sparklefield is a Twilight-based community which isn't affiliated with fandom_wank. The main reason for the advertisement of Sparklefield was that Twilight trivia was taking over fandom_lounge.
