» I've paid for my account, where is it? At this time, account creation is not an automated process. There may be a delay between your Paypal transaction and the actual creation of your account. When the account is created, you'll receive an email including your password. Thanks in advance for your patience! Last Updated: » Do Paid Users get any additional support/How can I get my free journals? Yes. Paid users are entitled to priority support for their journals and communities. Currently, the method of Paid User support is our priority support journal. Comments to the support posts are screened for privacy. Paid users can request free journals for themselves and friends, and they can submit requests for other types of support. The priority support journal is here: http://journalfen.net/users/prioritysup Last Updated: » If I don't renew paid status, does my journal get suspended/deleted? No. If your paid journal time expires and you do not renew, you still have a free, basic level journal to use as long as you like. You just won't get all the bells and whistles. You'll also lose posting access to all but ten of your icons, though the system won't delete your icons or revert back on posts/comments already made. Last Updated: » Why can't I use JavaScript or Flash in my styles? You can not use JavaScript or Flash in your customized styles because it is a security problem. Since users can log in to JournalFen and have their username/password saved, if we allowed either JavaScript or Flash, people could write scripts to intercept the username/password and save it, or email it to the malicious script author. We've looked into solutions to allow Javascript and Flash, but there seems to be no good way to prevent them from having access to the cookies on your computer which store this information. Last Updated: » How does the text messaging feature work? Paid users now have the option of letting visitors send them text messages on their cellphone or pager. The cool part about this is that: * Your cell/pager number stays secret. Only JournalFen knows it, and uses it to send you text messages from other users. * You can control who can send you text messages (anybody, registered users, or only people you list as a friend). If you have a Paid Account (http://www.JournalFen.net/support/faqb If you receive text messages via email, you must include the following information: * The name of the service (be specific) * The email address which is used to send messages * Any limit on the length of the name of the sender, the subject, and the message * Any other information you may have If you receive text messages via a web page, you must include: * The name of the service (be specific) * The URL of the page, preferably of the receiving script * The address of the recipient (phone number? username?) * Any limit on the length of the name of the sender, the subject, and the message * Any extra fields that need to be submitted * Any other information you may have Important Note: Although JournalFen makes no extra charge for this feature, your service provider may charge for each text message you receive. Please check with your service provider for details. Last Updated: » Are permanent accounts available? Permanent accounts are only made available periodically. Please watch the system journal and/or the paid accounts page for an announcement regarding permanent account availability. http://www.journalfen.net/users/system http://www.journalfen.net/paidaccounts/ Last Updated: * Back to the FAQ listing.Back to the search page.
