How does the music auto-detection work?

The Windows MFC LiveJournal client has the ability to detect your currently playing music and post it to your journal.

Currently, the only supported music players are Winamp, Sonique, Freeamp, Media Player, and the default Windows CD player.

If you have upgraded your music player, you may need to upgrade your client to the newest version in order to detect your music.

If you use Winamp and notice that your song titles are getting truncated, make sure you have the "Scroll song title in the Windows taskbar" option unchecked in the WinAmp preferences (Control-P, Options, Display).

The source for the Windows MFC LiveJournal client is located at:

http://www.livejournal.com/files/code/clients/win32/

and music detection is handled in the CPP file "PostOptionsDlg.cpp"
