Original Request:
I tried to purchase a Permanent Basic account today and it took me to a page that says "Sorry, there's a problem". Just to make sure that I didn't miss a "Permanent accounts not available at this time" announcement, I checked the system journal. Also, just to check again that it wasn't a Permanent Basic/Premium account unavailability, I clicked on the other paid account options and all led me to the "Sorry, there's a problem" site when I clicked on the PayPal button.
