LJ Clones
I am happy about my JournalFen, but, you know, not everyone can easily get one, and some people are using GreatestJournal and so on instead/too. I've got the hang of mirroring LJ and JF with Semagic now, it doesn't take much effort, so keeping more going shouldn't be hard.

What do you guys think? Should I at least claim my username on some of those other sites?

	A while back I claimed the username I use here on most LJ clones. I now only use it on these clones and AIM, because I am too cheap to pay $15/journal to change it. (Reply to this)

Personally, having accounts on three different LJ clones -- it's kind of annoying. The hard bit for me, though, is that I try to "write for the audience" and each site's got a different audience, so I wind up not posting much on any one site -- not a problem if you're going to do mirroring, but something to think about.

It does help a lot with connection-forming and -maintenance, though.

	I've camped this name on all the common sites (there's someone else who started using it about five years after I did, so it's worth the hassle for me) but I only tend to bother to update one or two places at a time. (Reply to this)

	I've got my name on LJ, IJ, GJ & JF. I plan to mostly update the LJ & IJ and use the JF for reading/commenting. The GJ is sort of my last resort journal. (Reply to this)
