status report: still alive Also, now moved into my new apartment and sorting out all the residency issues, as well as starting work at the university. It's a variable headache; some parts were easily taken care of, some took some time to get sorted out but went smoothly, and others still need to be resolved.
Not-all-that-funny-anecdote: Less than half an hour after getting auto insurance, I got rear-ended while stopped and waiting for right-of-way. It was a minor accident, with a bit of paint transfer on the bumper and a headache that went away after some ibuprofen, so I didn't swap insurance info with the other driver. I did get him to guide me to the DMV (which was where I was headed at the time), even though I ended up having to go to the
other DMV.
BTW, if anyone in the Binghamton area needs a ride, I has a car with room for four. And if anyone knows the way around downtown Binghamton, can I get a guide?
In completely unrelated news, I got the Sims 2 and have started seriously following a family (Touya, Yukito, and Nakuru, for anyone interested). I had a bit of an issue where Touya and Nakuru both loved Yukito and he couldn't flirt with one without the other immediately hating both, but that was solved by a mod that turns off jealousy. Can anyone say OT3?
