I skimmed the Eriol/Tomoyo, Eriol/Sakura, and Touya/Tomoyo ship manifestos today (yeah, I know...) and saw a comment where L-chan said that she "hates" Yukito mostly because of the "worship" he gets.
Which makes me boggle, want to go "links or it didn't happen" at her, or run a poll of my own. The last one is why I'm making this post, really.
I have two questions for everyone:
1. Who do you think is the fandom's favorite character?
2. Are there any characters, when you see them disliked, you automatically feel compelled to defend?
I post at two forums, and I could start threads with this at both; but would it get a response? I'm already 99.9% certain that Yukito wouldn't be within the top three most popular answers for either, not that that would make L-chan rethink her perception of Yukito's popularity.
(On a side note, the E/T and E/S essays were too full of canon inaccuracies to be really annoyed at. At least, when I was reading them; looking back, I'm getting annoyed at Kaho being called "flighty" for breaking up with Touya so suddenly when she explains her reasoning.) |
