Despite the not-even-sub-anymore-text for Miles/Julian, I can't get into it. Not when Miles/Keiko is still so OTP. And of course, it's the episode where she's not herself that I really fall in love with them. Though the one where she single-handedly tricks Julian and Miles into spending more time with each other in spite of their resolve not to let their friendship take time away from Miles's family is also sweet. Stage6 is going down on Thursday. It had the best-quality DS9 episodes. I was trying to watch as many as I could while I had the chance, but I've run out of time. Sigh. Hope that season 5 is covered by wow-tv. Going to visit my first prospective grad school tomorrow, yay! I probably overshot on the dates, but oh, well. And because it's a school-sanctioned trip, it counts as excused absences for all classes I'm missing, including the physics exam. ETA: I'm serious, it's really getting creepy. To use a DS9 example (because I have it on the brain), I find it sort of cute that Nana Visitor and Alexander Siddig got together during the run of the show and I'm sort of disappointed that it didn't work out. I also like their characters' interactions, particularly during Visitor's pregnancy. (Though that's probably because of the writers throwing in funny in-jokes. lol Kira to Bashir: "This is your fault" exchange.) But that doesn't mean I want to see the characters end up together, think that the actors' relationship means that they'll write in a romance between the characters, or suggest that Visitor should hook up with one of her love interests' actors. Sigh. The mouse just isn't going to get it, are they? They're just going to pretend that we're the ones missing/avoiding the point again, aren't they? |
