No, the undead dragons are something else entirely. They were ordinary adult and hatchling dragons, of any breed, then their owner killed them. Then (this is just me guessing) the owner tried to revive them, and sometimes the revival produced an undead dragon. Apparently they used to be a common feature, then they were removed, and they were reinstated on Halloween.

Killing a Halloween egg prior to hatching results in a dead egg that disappears from your scroll after a few hours and reappears on the abandoned page.
