Truly it was a sight to behold. And it's not like I needed actual friends who promised to be somewhere and then weren't, because of the screaming throng of AARP fangirls and whatnot, and going to another afterparty that was awesome and then sleeping blessed, blessed sleep instead of the one I was SUPPOSED to go to with, like, a GROUP of flakey TWITS who wouldn't even answer their goddamn phones during intermission so I could find out if something HAPPENED that might excuse me from needing the CAPSLOCK OF RAGE.
(Okay, a little facetious.)
(Only not. 'Cause damn. If there's an appointed time, and an appointed place, and an expected party, and pomp and circumstance and a lack of informality about time and place, you BE THERE. It's disrespectful. Let me tell you why I don't hold parties anymore...)
