2:34p - Pinwheel, Pinwheel, Teach Me To Fear!
These are the programs I remember watching from Pinwheel:
Bod, which apparently inspired Homestar Runner. Simon! And the things I draw come true! Bum-lookers. Picture Pages, my first exposure to Bill Cosby. Paddington, which always kinda freaked me out. King Rollo, which annoyed me because the characters moved weird. Hattytown, which I think had the same narrator as Bod. Emilie. I used to be convinced that the hedgehog was just a baby porcupine, and grew concerned for Emilie's safety. I was scared of hedgehogs more than I was scared of nuclear war, but maybe if Pinwheel had a short with a claymation nuclear reactor who teaches life lessons in a mealy-mouthed English accent, I could have properly processed the fear of Communist takeover.
I guess every generation has to have its H.R. Pufnstuf. Thanks, Pinwheel, for teaching me to fear getting marmalade anywhere near clay, and massive, imminent angry hedgehog rampages.
