I still don't know what's up with Twilight. This is a real book series - and there's actually more than one book? And people have read it/them? Seriously? I feel so out of touch with this.

Heh, I remember seeing "Breaking Dawn: Coming Soon!" icons and thinking it was for a new album by some popular modern rock band.

I knew there was a reason I never added unfunnybusiness to my watch list, and yet I always wind up having to remind myself of it every time somebody links to it. Argh.

The JournalFen autobot just sent me an e-mail wishing me a happy birthday. That was nice of it.

Damn, I totally forgot about the FW Secrets community! As such, I'm like a month late in seeing that #5 here is about me.

Crossposted from LJ, I've got a few random icons.

Fun fact about that last one, by the way. While searching for an image of him, I found out that I'm not the only one that's had that idea.

My computer hates MySpace. I can't say I blame it.

I think I got Rickrolled by a restaurant tonight. I was eating dinner, and then all of a sudden I realized that "Never Gonna Give You Up" was being played over the speaker system.

Good times.

Is everybody having a great LJ Boycott Day? I know I am! So far I've answered their Writer's Block thing, uploaded and announced a new icon, mused about a "Hills Are Alive"/"Hills Have Eyes" parody, started an ongoing chain of comments with a friend, expressed shock over a current project, made fun of the grammar on LJ's front page, and gotten slightly introspective over wrestling. The night before, as a warm-up, I also shared a strange theory, and found out that I could probably take 20 five year olds in a fight.

I felt inspired.

Or, for those who prefer icon format.

Hindsight being 20/20 and all that crap, I'm finding myself thinking I should've registered as "that_one_guy" or something when I had the chance. Given how inactive I've been, it'd be appropriate ("Who are you again?" "Oh, I'm that_one_guy."), and easier to remember, too.

Oh well.

Something seems dreadfully wrong with the thought that my computer can't run certain NES emulators at a decent speed.

So, I was at Borders earlier, and while I was waiting to check out, I noticed something on the "coming soon" board, under the Kids section.

Cassandra Clare
City of Bones (paperback)
Feb. 19th

It always amuses me to see something I found online in real life.

I finally added a new icon here. It's an "O RLY?" icon of Olcadan from Soul Calibur 3. I'm not the first person to think of that but it still amuses me.

So, today, in between listening to some kids make complaints that showed they've never worked in retail, I proved that I'm not familiar with all the 360's accessories yet. This prompted them to make what was supposed to be a smart-assed comment about me being the go-to guy for old games.

All I can really say is, damn right. I'm proud to be the resident classic gaming enthusiast.

Heh, let's just say there's a reason I'm not a big proponent of random online tests.

I met an actual Mary Sue today. Seriously, the name on the ID she gave me was "********, Mary Sue." Seeing that and the guy with the Proto Man whistle ringtone made my day.

I don't know how it arrived at this answer, but apparently my online journal thingy over at El Jay is rated PG-13.

That "vandalism" wank makes me want to make a comment about The Vandals (a punk band) but I can't think of a good one. :(
