I have a love/hate relationship with various capitalized initials/acronyms.
I love them when I understand them. If I see "LOTR FoTR F/S NWS" I know that whatever is being represented by those initials means "Lord of the Rings, Fellowship of the Ring (the first book/movie), Frodo/Sam, Not Work Safe"
This is also my cue to avoid it, because I'm not a Frodo/Sam shipper, and the Not Work Safe means that I'm in serious trouble if anybody (family/friends/cohorts/minions) sees it on my computer screen. On the other hand, "BtVS OMI L/Z XTS STFU" means nothing to me, except a basic fandom and an instruction to shut my piehole.
Then there is shipping. I've alluded to it above, (F/S) but now I'm going to rant/wank on a bit more. (It's my journal, and I can wank if I want.)

All of the above are possible pairing abbreviations (except the last one, which would be fun to see sometime.)
I don't know what half of them mean. I can guess, but if I click on "H/S" thinking it is going to be a nice Harry Potter/Susan Bones fic, and instead find Harry/Snape, I'm going to have some sort of problems. In short, it's a huge pain.
Don't even get me started on combining names ("Honks"? "Heron"? Who the [censored] are they talking about anyway?)
In conclusion, just take the extra ten seconds and write out your warnings/ships. It'll make things much easier for us all.

Here goes another pathetic attempt on my part to keep some sort of weblog (you can tell I'm pretentious because I don't call it a blog or livejournal like everybody else). I should be doing homework right now, but as I'm lazy, I'm not. Anyway, a little bit about what I do online, since I won't be telling you anything else.
If you're reading this, and you haven't discovered the wonderfulness that is GAFF or Video Game Recaps yet, I suggest you do so now.
That's enough contribution to web society for now. I'm going to go wait until I have something useful to put here before posting again.
