5:13 pm - World of Warcraft and Wank?
wow_ladies is a community for female players of the MMORPG World of Warcraft...so watch out for WoW-specific terms in there. Anyway.

Jaanka posts describing (in reasonably humorous tones) her low-level character managing to kill a high-level character a few times, mainly when the latter was low on health. There's a few 'rofl's and "well done!" comments, along with the occaaasional unimpressed commenter, before an anonymous joins in with the insults, including the classic:

"people like you are the reason i support blow jobs over intercourse. you are the load that should have been swallowed."

And of course there's the usual reminder that the Internet Is Serious Business. And everyone kinda joins in the wanking.

Plus, in a display of Not Being Able To Let It Go, the OP later returns with a "I admit. your all far more superior than I." post.

2:19 pm - When sockpuppets go wild!
Socks with personality bring the wank!

symphonia _sock posts in the symphonia_slash comm. Apparently a fic written by yume_no_hikari was criticised in the journal of one vyctori.

"Oh dear, someone didn't like a story and talked about it in their LJ. SCANDAL!!!"

(and the internet police put in an appearance)

Then it gets odder: an anonymouse shows up and links screenshots of three now-locked posts from vyctori which are apparently unrelated to the original wank, except that they show vyctori reacting to some negative (and hilariously wanky) comments on her own fic.

Symphonia_sock then explains that she was just trying to give vyctori a "taste of her own medicine" with the original post, and as a bonus explains the honour code of trolls to us all.

In addition, moumusu posts posts wondering whether symphonia_sock is in fact yume_no_hikari.

"I won't even start. It's bullshit. Okay, maybe I will start. She's getting back at someone who dissed her fic in private, by making a sock puppet journal, going by anonymous, and being a pathetic bitch."

Symphonia_sock responds with this gem, and also pulls out her f_w membership card.

And that's where it's at so far - oddly enough, both vyctori and yume_no_hikari seem to be responding intelligently and without much wanking in general, but the socks appear to be splooging enough for everyone.

ETA: yume_no_hikari pleads via proxy for sanity and an end to the drama.

6:40 pm - End of an era?
It's probably a pretty sad day for the wider community of lj wank. Unless of course, it's just that pesky 1st April...

LJdrama.org goes bye-byes?

And while you're at it, check out the almost certain splooge-age at anti-fandomrape!

Haven't had a chance to look through it properly yet, but there's got to be wank in them thar hills somewhere.

7:54 pm - Hobbit Protection League!
dl_anon mini-wank!

On a recent thread about an article on the hobbits in Premiere Magazine at dl_anon, a poster appears with an Elijah is "damn straight!" icon.

Several people express their discomfort with anyone claiming to know Lij's sexual orientation without a doubt.

So she decides to go and create her own community: Hobbitrespect: The Hobbit Boy's Protection League., where people can feel free to talk about Elijah being 'hirt', and "snark-free, flame-free discussion of Hobbit Fandom."

But it's no fun without the snark!

10:05 pm - why not?
Just so the journal isn't completely filled with absolutely nothing, really.

I think I'm going to have to make some 'my fandom' icons...but what *is* my fandom? I've loved lots of things over time, but I don't think many of them have had much of a rabid online fandom.

At least no-one I know writes 'Black Light Angels' fic. Why not, I ask?!? ^_^
