Two angry notes to myself:
Dude, there are a lot of perfectly good things in this journal that just need to be polished and/or finished before they can be posted. So do that! Editing is an important skill, too. And it would be nice if you had more than ten stories on your site.
and
You really need to stop starting new stories every day and work on ones that have already been started. Ones for ficathons have priority, for you have skipped out of WAY too many of those lately. So, FLB and the Myths story come first, bitch. And then things you have all plotted out, like the Trio fic. And THEN random-ass things that go nowhere.
(I have no idea what to write for FLB. But I will think on it over lunch, some more.)

I signed up for the SGA mythology challenge, and got the River Styx for a prompt. I don't know if the challenge requires that we use the myths as a plot, so I might have to write something else, but this won't get out of my head anyway.

I reread this book while on vacation, and god do I love it. And god, does Dally love Johnny. I sort of wrote a lot of this in my head in the car about a week ago, and it's nice to get it down now--though this is really the most depressing fandom ever. STAY GOLD, PONYBOY!

Jotting this down here, since I'm not at my home comp and I want to be able to remember it.
I don't remember ever reading a TS fic in which the reasons for Jim's *cough* liason with Alex were really discussed. To me, it's pretty obvious that they were entirely biological--I mean, the guy *killed* his best friend, the only reason he could possibly have for macking on Alex were his instincts telling him to make little baby Sentinels. Anyway, they get home, and talk about all of it, and Jim's upset, but Blair is totally understanding, of course, because he's Blair, and he probably figured out what was going on as soon as it had happened. But Jim's still mad that he can't control his own destiny (cf. "Attraction") and eventually this leads to Jim/Blair. Should include Blair saying, "Jim, you know that I can't ever have your babies, right?" and possibly a lot of Jim/Alex flashbacks, because what can I say? Biological imperatives turn me on, baby. Anyway. Jim choosing Blair is pretty much the ultimate way of choosing his own destiny, since Blair *can't* have his babies. This kind of flies in the face of the whole Sentinel/Guide connection thing, I guess...hmmm.
