Saying Goodbye To The Past & A Letter to </a></a>hugh_jackman

In the light of day and after the initial euphoria of Hugh not hating him for running when they met up in London before, Ben came to the realization what he had with Hugh could never work. What they had was in the past and trying to recreate it would only cause them pain.

If Ben wasn’t pursuing an intimate relationship with Hugh then it was probably better to avoid a business one as well. Neither of them really needed to combine Ben’s knowledge of art with Hugh’s burglary. It wasn’t like either of them were struggling financially. The whole thing had been a nice dream, but it was time to wake up to reality.

For several house before his plane was due to leave Ben tried to get Hugh on the phone. A trip by the other man’s home was also useless. So instead of talking in person and resolving this like adults like he wanted, Ben left a note where Hugh would be sure to find it.

Going back home. Thank you for a brief glimpse at the fantasy and what might have been if things had been different. We both know it could never end well if we tried though, so it’s better to say goodbye before someone gets seriously hurt. I’m sure we’ll see each other off and on but it’s better if we put us in the past where it belongs. Be happy.
