in half an hour i'm supposed to drive up to Fort Wayne with a couple of friends to pop in on my first ever anime convention, Ikasucon. I don't imagine any of you are going because so far the publicity seems to have been virtually non-existent. They don't have programs or anything so I have no idea what to expect apart from, like. Cosplay and viewing rooms. Shamelessly I just hope they'll have tenipuri swag in their vending room. SWAG. OH I'VE WAITED MY WHOLE LIFE FOR YOU. *_____*
Anyway, instead of actually sleeping last night I was so restless that I spent the entire night uploading prince of tennis icons, possibly to make up for not having had any tenipuri icons for like 6 months now.
now i have no sleep and nearly 200 icons. I actually did not upload every tezuka/ryoma icon i have stashed away on my poor computer; not even close. look at them all. my icons alone are a ship manifesto. the more icons i uploaded the more excited i got. GOD I LOVE PRINCE OF TENNIS. I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I. LOVE. SO MUCH. this show makes me continuously giddy in a way i can't even articulate. i know it has to do with the characters. yesterday i let jackie twist my arm for like two hours into watching an ep of Ouran and the whole time i wanted to yell at her that it was seriously not cool that she likes a show where characters race horses alongside convertibles but not a show where they land helicopters on tennis courts. (not that the helicopter has actually landed on the tennis court yet. but come on, it's atobe. where do you think he will park?)

okay, i'm going to be gone for like two days. Jackie, I haven't watched the ep you sent yet. don't hurt me. i was sleeping. which is good, considering i was awake all night.
oh! and i think i'm doing, uh. a panel on, uh. yaoi? at this con thingy. i'm not actually sure what will happen. i might just stare blankly at the attendees and explain to them that i hate anime so can we please talk about j-pop rps.
have fun everybody. i promise i will update all eros_affair participants on sunday when i'm back.

Last time I went to one, in March in Milan, they had all sort of PoT merchandise, and just the first 2 manga numbers had come out here. I expect a lot more the next time around, and consider the anime hasn't arrived here yet *hihihihihihihihihi*

lol, that already sounds better than the yaoi panel I went to, where the panelist bragged about her connections to various yaoi publishing companies and spent the entire time talking about which yaois from japan were coming to the united states and how hot undergrand hotel is. IT WAS SO BORING. SHE GOT ASKED A QUESTION ABOUT FIC AND WAS LIKE "UH WE CAN SPEND FIVE MINUTES TALKING ABOUT THAT I GUESS, BUT THEN BACK TO GRAVITATION PLS?"
so! hopefully the people at your panel won't be hoping for a boring boring boring panel like the one I went to, because as long as they have souls, your panel will be like 100 times better just on principle.
AND HAVE LOTS OF FUN AGAIN SERIOUSLY JUST GAWKING AT COSPLAYERS AND TALKING TO OTHER FANGIRLS IS WORTH THE ENTRANCE PRICE!

Cons are amazing for the people that go to them, not the actual like, con events themselves, so. not unlike the situation that would occur if you were to theoretically haul ass over to Cali next summer and room with like Kish and me for anime expo YOU KNOW IF ONE WERE TO WANT TO BRIEFLY ENTERTAIN MY SWEETEST DREAMS

2. Your icons ARE fantastiche. You're right about how looking through them all makes me get excited and happy about the series in general. THere are so many 'ahaha, I remember that scene!' and 'oh, so-and-so. Never change' moments.
