AX cosplay pictures!

Thursday: Mayama Takumi from Honey and Clover, with [info]mognetcentral as Yamada Ayumi. I uploaded one of these to my cosplay.com gallery on Sunday night, but it's getting no love. So sad. It's a great shot, in my opinion. Jason and Jeff did an excellent job working with difficult lighting conditions.
One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, and Seven.

Friday: HIM from The Powerpuff Girls, with [info]moriyama_umi as Mojo Jojo. I took a little more care with the makeup this time than at Wondercon, and I think it shows. Also, the "wig" stayed in place much better (I used a stronger gel to slick my hair back). A guy from Cosmode took my picture and had me fill out some paperwork- SO EXCITING! Thanks to Kim for helping me out with that. I hope he can read it- it was hard to write in those claws. Last year, [info]moriyama_umi, [info]ryuhayashi, and I got a small picture in Cosmode with our One Piece cosplay, but I've never filled out paperwork before!
One, Two, Three, Four, Five, and Six.

Saturday: Meidi from Ibara, this time with a whole group! [info]ziggybecket as Bond, Jenn as Midi, [info]arkadia as Kasumi, [info]positivespace and [info]sever007 as Lace (from Ibara One and Two, respectively), and [info]utenatai as Teresa. I was unable to add Meidi's ponytail to her wig. I tried and failed. The ponytail is currently draped over the back of a chair in my room. But! I did make some improvements for AX. I made her garter straps, I made sure the lace and bias tape were secure (no messing around with Liquid Stitch this time!), and I did NOT lose her stupid shoe bows walking around. (Came close a few times, though.)
One, Two, Three, Four, Five, and Six.

Sunday: Will Vandom from W.i.t.c.h. in her guardian form from the cartoon (her shirt's purple in the comic, and the wings are more complicated). Woohoo, my only new costume for AX! One of my wings broke halfway through my shoot. I've fixed it, but still- ANNOYING. In case you're wondering why I'm sticking my gut out so much in the flying shot, it's because I was basically bent over backwards trying to get the remaining wing to hang right. And Jeff is holding it in place right off-camera. And Jason rotated the picture afterwards. (My magnetty wing harness design had some flaws, obviously. One of these was the fact that I forgot that wind exists. D'oh.)
One, Two, Three, Four, Five, and Six.

I have a bunch more pictures of HIM and Meidi. Some good, some not so good, but most are in need of editing, and they're on my home computer. So... maybe more pics of stuff later.

Currently considering what to cosplay next year (solo stuff as well as possible groups). I think I may want to do things that are too difficult for me. Which... isn't actually all that different from this year. Or last year.

I don't know Honey and Clover, but I agree the fun fair photos look great.

And your wings look awesome in the third pic! The sort of neon colored leggings in #4 and #6 though? The color scheme is closer to Will's like this, but the neon effect is murderous and make me miss the teal&aqua or teal&royal that you considered first.
I like #1 and #5 best.

I know, they're totally WHOABRIGHT. It was a pain, attempting to paint the stripes while I was wearing them. They're blotchy and crooked and had a tendency to shift downwards as I walked around, causing me extreme paranoia re: my crotch.

The problems with the socks (and I actually own both the teal&aqua and the teal&royal pairs!) were that the stripes were too skinny, the socks didn't go up quite high enough, and I don't think I could have fit the boots over them, because apparently my calves are gigantic.
