I totally never post over here because I'm too busy being an ass on twitter. It's like I've forgotten how to be an ass in more than 140 characters. |

Flora Logger, indeed. |

If I want to comment on CW, is it more deceitful to do it as myself, or as moirarogers? Damn my split personality, anyway. Harumph. |

Every once in a while I load up my JF page and wonder why it's so quiet. Then I remember I don't follow UFB. So now it's going to be super SUPER quiet, isn't it? |
|
|
| Really? REALLY? |
[Aug. 7th, 2009|09:44 am] |
And to think I was so sad that JF was down when the Mammoth Wank of Women Can't Do That broke. I should have known it would be really unfunny.

| Why I'm glad I am moving into a house in 1.5 weeks... |
[Jun. 13th, 2009|02:07 pm] |
We had a storm last night. Not even all that bad of one, but it knocked our power out for 18 hours and did this: http://twitpic.com/79zps
Yeah. Our apartments are awesome quality, you see. Because the sides sometimes just randomly FALL OFF.
There are also trees growing in my gutter and a plant sprouted its way up through the floorboards in the kitchen.
1.5 weeks to house.... 1.5 weeks to hoooouse. *cry*
ETA: Though that one falling apart there isn't actually ours. If ours had more brick though it might have. |

Donna: I should make a sockpuppet account! Bree: Do it! Donna: ...but I can't! It will have my name on it! Bree: ...
Sockpuppeting...continuing to not mean what she thinks it means.

On page 10 of my Blaze, the hero thinks about a young cop this way:
The kid was cocky. Reckless.
Perfect.
...is that even subtext? Or is my book already a little slashy?
ETA: Err, clarification (if necessary) not MY Blaze, just the one I happen to be reading. I don't have a Blaze. :p |

Irony. We HAVE had one of our books de-ranked, but I didn't realize it because I didn't know the book had been added to amazon.
Why didn't I know? Because it's not showing up in amazon searches for Moira Rogers. Cuz, well, it's been de-ranked.
LOLz amazon.
ETA: OKAY ALSO HI
The next time I see someone bitch that there are way more objectionable things on amazon, like those trashy romance books, I'm gonna cut someone. Because #1) sex is not objectionable and saying so is undercutting the entire point of "no censorship" and #2) if anyone at all was remotely paying attention they'd know that entire romance publishers and lines ARE being hit regardless of teh gay content.
Wow I'm a wanky bitch who needs to go to bed. Or, you know, drink more vodka. |
|
|
| Oh, Amazon... |
[Apr. 12th, 2009|12:00 pm] |
There's a shitstorm a-brewing. Because Amazon decided to remove all the icky gay stuff and dirty erotica stuff (once again conflating the two, btw) from its bestseller lists and even some searches, making it virtually impossible to find without a direct link or a lot of searching.
http://search.twitter.com/search?q=amazonfail http://community.livejournal.com/meta_writer/11560.html#cutid1
Oh, Amazon.
However, I notice we still have our sales rank on our one ebook on amazon while several YA GLBT titles have lost theirs, which I think pretty much makes it clear that adult content is, uhh, not the issue. Because while our book isn't erotica or even erotic romance, it's still way more adult than a teen book.
I am not v. funny today, but man. For stupid much?
ETA: Of course, Playboy is still allowed. Cuz, well. You know. What sense would it make otherwise?
And when I say removed from searches, I mean if you search from the Amazon front page they'll tell you that book/author does not exist, even if you search on the exact name/title. |
