Small update

I'm probably not going to be around much at all this next week, I'm going home to Aurora on Saturday to visit the family. Mom says they've got at least half the week booked for various relations to get their hands on me, so I don't know how much time I'll spend around a PC.

In other news, I love me some w4nk. I've had some lovely discussions this week about all things heretical and fun, and I've inspired the creation of a very cool icon which I will eventually be uploading.

Productive. Whee. XD

I think I might just move here from my LJ. I never update it anymore, but I'm always on JF for teh w4nk. So yes. Insubstantial and goofy updates of my irrelevant little life to follow.

1) As of one week ago I officially have US residency status. Nice and legal-like. Now I'm just a social security number short of getting a job down here, and that should be wrapped up this week. Whee. The good news is this means Paul and myself will soon have a good income, enough to live on our own with no assistance from anyone...and have some money to spare.

2) This summer the rest of my father's fund gets turned over to me. I'm serously thinking of putting a down payment on a house...that's what I want, a house of my own and not this apartment anymore. I mean, it's a nice place, but I want my OWN place. Maybe it'll come true.

3) By the end of this summer I should also be done with my Associates, meaning I will be the first college educated person on mom's side of the family. I don't intend to stop at Associate's, but it's a definite start...and a finish too, which is something I have a track record of not doing well.

Got sick of seeing a blank page.
