Thank you all so much for the well wishes and gifts and the tremendous outpouring of support and friendship you've all showered us with now that Olivia's decided to join the outside world.
Both Mom and Leah (Jason's mum) and the various sisters-in-law (including Liam's sister Peggy) assure me that having my water break around 11pm and delivering the baby a little before 8am the next morning qualifies as fairly short labor, and to tell the truth, it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected it to be. Although I do remember yelling at Jason quite a bit at one point; my doctor tells me she was impressed with my vocabulary.
( in-laws up the wazoo )
Um ... not much more to say really. Well except for the fact that right now Jason's napping and Liam's sitting next to him with Olivia asleep in his arms and it occurs to me that somewhere along the line I must have done something very right to be this lucky.

Less than a month!!!

So it's June now and that means I have 24 days before the baby is due. While it's been a really wonderful experience, I'm ready for her to be born now. And, judging by her squirming about, so is she.
The guys are being marvelously patient with my moods, frequent trips to the bathroom, moods, sleeplessness, and did I mention the moods?

Hey!
Liam's in NY for the boys' Spring Break and Jason's filming in Berlin. Come keep me and Baby girl 1.0 company. This is not a request.
Seriously, though. If you'd like to come over and watch comedies with me, I'd really love the company. Tami's a dear but she's an employee, you know? And Keanu is getting ready to head out to Chicago to film, so even the sometime houseguest isn't really here much.
This offer comes with the promise of all the popcorn and beer you'd like (or anything from the freezer full of amazing meals Jason left behind), and one "get out of talking about anything serious" card.
Or not. I understand if you'd rather not see people right now. But, you know me, I had to offer
Love to you, hon,
Carrie-Anne

Mood: devious
It's less than a month to the home opener in San Francisco. As usual, we're opening with a three game series against LA and then, after a three game home series against Colorado, we'll travel to LA to be their home opener opponents. Our line up looks good this year and I think Alou has settled in nicely as manager. Also, according to the latest reports, Barry will be ready to play opening day.
Is there any other sports news I need to be aware of?

A Birthing Plan?!

Good fucking God am I having a baby, or making a movie? Then again with Jason involved, probably both.
Anyway there's this whole Birthing Plan thing they want you to consider. And yes, a lot of it is important but why do I feel like I'm filling out my checklist again?

CA & Liam -- 24/2/05
|
25th February 2005 : 05:56pm
|
|
players only; takes place 24 February, right after this exchange in Liam's journal.
Carrie-Anne isn't at all surprised when she hears Liam at the door of the study. Oddly glad that Jason's out at the club working out, she doesn't look up from her computer screen. "That was a really passive aggressive thing to do."
( I'm fully prepared to quit riding. )

Impossible fantasies

So I was bored and surfing the web and I ran across this picture. It's a girl with dark short hair getting raped by one of the Machines from The Matrix, and so it's not real safe to look at if you're not around people how understand kinky art.
Thing is, since she's got the hair and looks just a little like me, I'm thinking someone was having non-con tentacle fantasies about Trinity. Which is, of course, one of the prices we pay for fame -- the fact that people will use our images as part of their sexual life. But that's not actually why I made this post, although hey if you have feelings about the matter, feel free to air them here; I don't mind.
I'm asking about impossible fantasies. Not improbable fantasies, not anything you could throw some money and your membership card at an Establishment planner and have done down at the Club. What I'm curious about is the fantasies that can't happen because the magic of Harry Potter doesn't work in our world, because we have no elves, because there aren't hungry tentacle monsters out there looking for nubile flesh to abuse.
Share, won't you?

So according to this site, Baby 1.0 -- Jason's name for our impending child -- has gone from being the size of a kidney bean to the size of a lime and is now the size of an avocado. Does that explain my sudden craving for Mexican food?
We're in LA now. Don't know for how long, but we got here this afternoon and I celebrated by having tortilla chips and really good guacamole with a virgin margarita. Also, I didn't get sick this morning on the plane so hopefully that's over.
Liam's got to be one of the most patient and gracious people I know. I've long believed it but watching him deal with this whole awards thing as people in this town speculate and Fox Searchlight goes into high gear on behalf of their other nomination heavy movie has just brought it home to me. It's also brought home something that you always hear but is sometimes hard to expect. This isn't about talent. How can it be when the movie the studio is pushing is what people talk about?
I'm determined to have fun on Sunday if it kills me. I have a pretty 1950's vintage dress, a nice pair of Manolo Blahniks, and the vintage Deco "necklace" Liam gave me for Chistmas. I like dressing up and I just need to regard this as an excuse for that. And nothing else.

locked to Liam and Jason only
I am so furious with Ralph now. How dare he suggest a panty raid on Emma's party? What part of Girls Only does he not get? Why is it that men can't stand it when women want to have their own space? One weekend for the girls to hang out and NOT HAVE MEN AROUND. How hard is that to understand?
Is it an insecurity thing? Like, " God forbid the women should go off on their own because they might be talking about us and comparing our dick sizes with other men and with those big silicon dildos of theirs?" Or: "Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll be so starved for male attention that we'll all get laid." Or, worst of all: "what if they aren't talking about us or thinking about us or starved for our attention and are actually having a GOOD TIME WITHOUT MEN?!"
Fortunately, I really don't think a bunch of actors can gate crash a private function at an Est Club. I mean my God, even the female security guards think that rugby's a game for wusses.

Is it better to give? Or to receive?
|
29th December 2004 : 09:57pm
|
Mood: curious
So, since it's the gift giving season, I thought I'd ask you all some questions:
Do you prefer giving or receiving Christmas/Holiday gifts? Why?
Do you prefer giving or receiving a beating? Why?
Do you prefer giving or receiving a good hard fucking? Why?
Do you prefer giving or receiving when it comes to rimming? Why?
Do you prefer giving or receiving a fisting? Why?
Do you prefer giving or receiving oral sex? Why?
Of course you may prefer both giving and receiving in equal measure, but you can still tell me why.
Feel free to answer in comments here, or take it to your own journals.
