On second (third? tenth?) thought (because yes, this has been a horrifically slow day), I say this:
I still don't think it was very funny, but it did succeed in getting everyone on all sides into an extremely wanky uproar. N00bs and 1337, mods and admins, anonymice and BNWs, seekrit cabal members and baffled lurkers, all were united in their wankery. There was not a single voice of reason in the great maelstrom of spooge, and that is a beautiful thing. Well, not beautiful, amusing. Well, not particularly amusing either. It's sure been a trip, though. Whee.
The only remaining question is: why hasn't someone metaposted about this on f_w yet? It would only be fitting. |
