I suppose I shouldn't really have expected a reply. Not with the way it ended... although I really did think Ioan still had some affection for me. It was, I thought, amicable. Perhaps I was wrong. Perhaps he is still carrying a grudge.
Ah well. It would have been nice to see a familiar face around the Establishment. And by 'familiar' I mean 'personally known to me' rather than 'familiar from beeing seen on the big or small screen' because, damn, there's some famous people knocking around the place. There are others, of course; people I've worked with, even people I've been rather intimate with in one way or another. But not quite the same as Ioan.
Still, no point in crying over spilt milk. If he isn't interested in picking up our friendship again, he isn't and that's that.
Shame.

Digging through a vast sheaf of introductory paperwork, I find the Establishment has online capabilities and even a journalling system. So I thought I'd test things out.

Long time no see. At least, it seems that way. I'm sure I caught a glimpse of you strolling with an attractive redhead in the grounds of a certain New England mansion just a few weeks ago. Perhaps that would have been the lovely Miss Weisz? I happenned to see in one of the rags that you were dating. Congratulations. She's a fine looking girl.
Goodness. All that makes it sound as if I'm stalking you. Not at all. It's just that I thought it was you at the Halloween Party but wasn't sure. I kept meaning to go and look to see if you were part of this organisation but never got around to it, and the photos of you and the lovely Rachel reminded me. So, I went hunting for the vast sheaves of paper they gave me when I joined the Establishment and found the members list. Lo and behold, there you are, under 'G' with details and a contact email attatched. I'm not in there yet, having only just pricked my finger and signed my soul away, so it was obviously up to me to start the ball rolling, as it were.
I've just been making the usual publicity rounds for my latest but I'm back in London filming for the next month or so, up to the Christmas break. I thought we could catch up some time. A couple of drinks? Lunch perhaps? It would be good to see you. Drop me a line and we can arrange some place to get together.
