I hate hate HATE it when they start posting fanart that aren't theirs on their lj without crediting the original artist. I mean, ugh, wtf? They're not claiming it as theirs, but still, LACK OF CREDIT makes me want to cut something. :< And somehow I bet if I do say something, it'd start a fuss, and gaaaaaaaaaah.

It kind of bothers me when someone says they want to be a bnf of a certain fandom.
Ok, so not really "kind of". It REALLY bothers me when someone says they want tbe a bnf of a certain fandom.

I do realize the person was probably joking, but but. But.

Yeah, it's none of my business because I'm not even part of the fandom since I've never done anything for it, but I DO like this fandom and the fics and the art and I don't want to see it devolve into something filled with dramu.

I AM aware that it doesn't have to be like that. BNFs themselves aren't the ones who cause dramu in fandoms, but geeagh. Can't we all just be the happy family we are now and not want to be all popular and famous in the fandom ;;3;;?

Also, I don't believe people AIM to become BNFs. It just HAPPENS, y'know? Write enough good(!) fics and you'd probably end up being one, without the writer even being aware of it. To WANT to become a BNF seems so... eh.

And even sillier are the people saying "LOL HAY I was a BNF in my older fandoms but I left 'cuz blah blah blah". It just... makes me want to go "LOL SO? WHO CAAARES" at them. WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE. AND WHO CARES. Maybe I'm just being lolsensitive, but gaaaah. It never occurred to me that being a BNF of any fandom is something to be proud of.

It's the first time I'm involved in an actual fandom, and it kinda sucks to see these kinds of things. This is probably why I'm not huge on "lulz fandom friendships" in the first place. I'm not saying that fandom friends are all like this since I did meet a LOT of awesome people within different fandoms, but um. This is still kind of disappointing.

OK. So. JF is back to normal, it seems.

Right. I've been trying to create a bunch of sketches for this contest, knowing that having absolutely zero talent and training in art/fashion/whatever, I would totally fail and not even make it to the top 20. :<

I figure all I'm doing is setting myself up for mockery. Funny, the prize is $2000 in an educational grant, aaaaaand uh, I graduated from uni last year. I'd have no use for it, haha. But it's not for the money, I think I just want a bit of confirmation of whether I'm hopeless or that I CAN do something.

I'm an accountant by training and a data encoder by profession. It's not something I want to do forever. Actually, I DON'T know what I want to do. Just... something else, yeah?

Finished block 5 in P3 in one go. I had to avoid a lot of enemies, buuut it wasn't so bad. The whole area is pretty damn psychedelic though.
