There's a spider that lives in the light fixture in my bathroom. It's been there for at least a month. At first I was terrified of it, but it's small and I don't think it's poisonous. I've actually grown kind of fond of it, in an "Aaaahh! Spider!" sort of way.
Today, it did something TOTALLY AWESOME. A little bug had landed on the bathroom wall above the mirror, and the spider crawled out from under the light. It watched the bug for a few minutes, then it sprang into action, pounced on the fly, and killed it in a matter of seconds. Then it dragged its victim back under the light fixture. It was amazing.
After seeing this, I think that the little dude is a wolf spider, and therefore not a threat to me. His rad hunting skills have earned my respect, so even though he still scares the hell out of me, he deserves a name. I think I'll call it "Remus."
