My to do list for the day is empty. I'm not sure what to do.

I'm behind on email, but I'm working to catch up. I managed to get a lot of the "big deal" edits on Dead Isle done yesterday, including adding a scene about the name change that I think makes EVERYTHING MAKE SENSE, which is unusual and kind of nice. So the change stays, at least for now. At the moment I'm reading through the entire thing again with four final notes in mind:

-- Describe everyone more
-- Particularly Purva
-- Make Jack less socially adept in the earlier chapters
-- Clarify the "expatriation" situation

I just like saying "expatriation situation".

Also, this morning, I opened an article about new uranium-thorium dating techniques that seem to establish the oldest cave paintings in the world are at El Castillo, Spain. The paintings themselves are, in part, negative-pigment images of upraised hands, which is one of the most significant symbols (plus my favourite symbol) in Dead Isle.
