Six weeks ago:

Boss: Coworker is leaving.
Sam: Yeah, we gotta get her a present.
Boss: I'm on it!

Six minutes ago:

Boss: Coworker's party is on Monday.
Sam: Yeah, do you have her present? I can wrap it.
Boss: Do you have time to go buy it after work today?

Sadly, I knew this was going to happen and planned accordingly, so I'm not frustrated and annoyed by the fact that I have to go to Macy's on a Friday night.
