I forgot that in addition to getting to go to Conference, which I don't normally, I get to herd my ducklings around Conference yesterday. Ten researchers and two database admins and only one of them had the native wit to googlemap where we were eating lunch ahead of time. (I did too, so I led the parade.)

Today I've been flirting with frozen yogurt, mostly. Lest you think I'm joking, this is a recent Twitter conversation I had. For context, on my Twitter profile I list myself as "secretly a Time Lord", and Berrymoon is a local self-serve froyo place on Clark street:

twitter friend: ‪#YOLO‬ reminds me that I have never learned how to use the Bolo.
ouija_sam: It always makes me want Froyo.
Berrymoon_Froyo: Does the secret time lord have #froyo on the agenda today?
ouija_sam: Not today, but next time I'm on Clark I'll visit! (Being a time lord, I know when this will be but can't tell you).

What I should do is put on a fez and run frantically into the shop, breathlessly fill a cup with a little of every single thing they offer, and try to pay with my sonic screwdriver.

In other fannish news, I want you guys to cherish this moment: the moment where I reccomend to you an XMFC-My Little Pony fusion fanfic. OH YES THAT'S RIGHT. The Secret of Dragon Ranch.

Despite having only the barest of experience in either fandom I really did enjoy this; Jenny is an excellent and funny writer whatever the genre. (Also I beta'd it.:D)
