I just realised I haven't gone back and done my reading roundup for the first half of the year.

History
Operation Mincemeat, by Ben MacIntyre
Lost Museum: The Nazi Conspiracy To Steal The World's Greatest Works of Art, by Hector Feliciano
Super Mario: How Nintendo Conquered America, by Jeff Ryan
Lady Almina and the Real Downton Abbey, by the Countess of Carnarvon

Satire
Company, by Max Barry
The Code of the Woosters, P.G. Wodehouse

Fiction
Bright Lights, Big City, by Jay McInerney
Strange Pilgrims, by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald
Steam Powered II: More Lesbian Steampunk Stories (Anthology)
Uncommon Criminals, by Ally Carter

Unfinished:
The Blue Girl, by Charles de Lint
Dr. Tatiana's Sex Advice To All Creation, by Olivia Judson
Microserfs, by Douglas Coupland
Ushant, by Conrad Aiken
The Stranger's Child, by Alan Hollinghurst
The House Of The Spirits, by Isabele Allende

26 weeks, 17 books, six of those unfinished; not as good as last year, but I do have a job where I'm not really supposed to have the spare time to read at my desk anymore. Also, being fair, some of those books were a LOT THICKER than most of what I read last year. Jesus Christ, Operation Mincemeat, WHY U SO LONG.

I will close with the traditional invocation I gave last year at this time: my reading list is full, I have four library books checked out, and I have six digital ARCs in my email inbox. For the love of god, if you care for my sanity, do not take this as an opportunity to suggest books to me. :D
